Corporate Workers Permit
A corporate workers permit is possibly the most efficient and timely way of obtaining a permit to enable an employee to commence work.
The pre requisite is that the South African company has in place a corporate permit that provides permission from the Department of Home Affairs for them to recruit a certain amount of foreign professionals over a set period of time.
The companies corporate permit acts as a type of 'blanket' permit under which they are allowed to apply for individual corporate worker permits.

As approval is granted to the company (under the corporate permit), the individual corporate workers application then negates the need for many of the requirements other permit applications require. This means less requirements and a quicker way to obtain the necessary permit to enable the employee to commence work.
A corporate workers permit is bound to the particular employer that the application is made under and only a temporary work permit can be issued. Other terms and conditions that the corporate workers permit is issued under are dictated by the company's corporate permit.
